How is Brewster Kahle's name pronounced? I'm guessing his first name is [BROO-ster] (emphasis in caps) but I don't know if his last name is like "call", "kale" (rhymes with pail or pale), "kal-EE" or something else.

I'd like to know because I host a community radio show that focuses on copyright issues and the Kahle v Ashcroft case is sure to come up. Discussing these issues online doesn't give one a sense of pronounciation. I'd like to know how to properly pronounce the plaintiff's name. My show is called "Digital Citizen" and airs on WEFT 90.1 FM in Champaign, Illinois every other Wednesday from 8-10p.

Thanks.

I guess no one answered your query.

It's "kale," like the vegetable. I interviewed him for my radio show a few months ago and he confirmed the correct pronunciation.

Good luck with your show!
